seoras56 'What She Knows' reminds me a bit of Herman's Hermits from the 60's...not a bad thing. The song has an easy-going psychedelic feel about it and is a reminder of how good simple melodies can be. 'Ends Meets Blues' has a similar psychedelic edge to it. A terrific pair of releases that I keep going back to. Favorite track: What She Knows.

WHAT SHE KNOWS by The Telmos is the first single in Aldora Britain Records' TRACKS OF TROUBADOURS series. This is a series of seven singles that will be released weekly from 5th August 2020 to celebrate our seventh anniversary. This first single is a glorious slice of analogue-era psychedelic jangle pop and is B-sided by END MEETS BLUES. The Telmos are the most recent project of Andy Pickering, formerly of the brilliant Draytones.

Andy dedicates this release to Ed Evans, Marco Tommaseo and Will Harrison... 'the band'. 'Their dedication to the project made it possible for me to take my bedroom recordings out onto a stage and then to a world class recording studio! Could not have done it without them for sure...'

We would like to say a big thank you to Andy and The Telmos for agreeing to be a part of our anniversary and trusting us to release his music. It is an honour and the ABR Community is so grateful.

Tracks Of Troubadours is named after the first band that we ever featured, The Last of The Troubadours.

Andy Pickering:

"The decision was made to do another EP, but this time without producing it myself in my own studio. I think the last one worked great as a starting point and a sample of what is possible, however, we needed something special that is beyond what I can do. We also didn't want to go somewhere for someone to just press record. So, we needed a suitable studio and, more importantly, a producer who knows the type of music we are making. After contacting Toe Rag and locking in four days to do four songs, we took time out from gigs and started work towards the recording in October 2018."

"I'm not sure anywhere in the world is more suitable for us that working with Liam Watson (The White Stripes, The Zutons, Temples, Supergrass, Metronomy) in this iconic studio. The sessions went great and we got everything down we needed, having Liam produce us was an amazing experience!"
