about

Experimental collective Necessary Animals return to Aldora Britain Records. This is their brand new offering, the otherworldly 'The Last News'.

'The Last News' showcases a different side to this Hastings combo. Here, the assembled players delve into a roaming and orchestral composition with moody psychedelic tinges, spacious and ballad-like in its approach. There is an almost post-apocalyptic feel at play, the soundscape travelling freely across borders and boundaries. It is subtle and laidback, a glorious departure for the Necessary Animals.

For fans of Pink Floyd, The Orb, The Beatles, Miles Davis, and Portishead.

Keith Rodway, Necessary Animals: "The band is essentially an arts collective. We do music, film and live performances ... It's a floating collective. We are incredibly lucky to have a pool of very talented people to draw from."
