Aldora Britain Records proudly presents the self-titled debut album from Hastings experimental collective Necessary Animals. This record was originally released in 2018.

This nine-track collection is a perfect encapsulation of what Necessary Animals are all about. Listeners are welcomed into a weird and wonderful sonic universe, moving quickly from avant-garde tendencies to free-flowing jazz to precise post-punk punch. Taking influence from such experimental mavericks as Captain Beefheart and Miles Davis, this English ensemble redefine the contemporary indie music landscape. This is forward-thinking and boundary-pushing, an adventure in sound and a brilliant earlier snapshot of the band.

Keith Rodway, Necessary Animals: "When I write lyrics, I leave out a lot of information. I give clues as to what I mean and leave listeners to fill in the gaps, so they become active listeners, they create their own meanings."
