about

Aldora Britain Records are emphatically happy to release this new digital double A-side single by Driving School, something a bit different from what we normally do. These two tracks, 'The Afterlife' and 'Isn't Anyone?', are glorious sonic adventures into industrial post-punk and new wave.

Driving School is a studio project started by Jeff Robinson with a small collective of recording artists from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Their sole mandate is to produce and release catchy pop songs with an infectious post-punk twist. It is a collaboration based on experimentation and an enthusiastic embrace of pop culture.

'The Afterlife' is a smart blend, somewhere between Tommy James and The Shondells and a subdued version of The Strokes, all crammed into a two minute pop song. It features an original composition by Rum Revere and is produced by Shane Olivo. “Isn’t Anyone?” is a polite nod to Morrissey, recorded by late Milwaukee engineer, Paul Setser.

For fans of Gang Of Four, The Smiths and Ian Dury.
