Legendary Australian garage rockers The Naked Lunch become the latest addition to the Aldora Britain Records family. 'Real Gone' is the first single to be taken from their soon to be released second studio album, also entitled Real Gone.

The single is a raw and brash foray into the long-lost world of adrenaline-fuelled garage rock with a primal protopunk spirit. Originally written in 1978, the track has been attempted by various bands and became the tune that 'simply wouldn't go away'. Beaves' vocal performance is captivating, strong and soulful in equal measure. Gibson's guitar fires like a chainsaw, and the backbone of Shepherd and Robertson is solid and driving.

For fans of The Stooges, The Seeds, MC5, Ramones, and Count Five.

The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points. This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+... rick-taylor
