Italian one-man band Of Shadows And Lights returns to Aldora Britain Records with his brand new single, 'Poisoned Heart'. This is the follow-up to January's critically acclaimed 'Bleeding Wounds'.

'Poisoned Heart' is a deeply noir offering. OSAL delves deep into the human psych, exploring the depths of darkness that a person can fall into. The confusion, pain and anguish that goes alongside pour out of the song. This is not 'easy listening', but is a two-hour Hollywood drama within the confines of a 3-minute rock track. Musically, OSAL explores his love of hard and heavy alternative rock further. There is also an orchestral and cinematic undertone.

OSAL says of the song: "Poisoned Heart is about injustices and lives taken from innocent children because of the outbursts of parents
who are unworthy of being called such."

The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points. This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+... rick-taylor
