Independent Music Sampler #136

Aldora Britain Records proudly presents Oh Loretta!, an eclectic collection of 25 independent and underground songs from all around the globe. This collection's title is in memory of trailblazing country star Loretta Lynn. Thanks for the music, Loretta. Interestingly enough, this week's collection has two distinct halves: a soulful rootsy side and a heavier rock side.

We welcome back some friends too. There is the traditional English folk of Jude Edwin-Scott, the British folk rock of J P Worsfold, and the hard-hitting heartland rock of Til Willis & Erratic Cowboy. We have fingerpicking country folk from James McKeivier, who also makes an appearance with The Starry Sky Band, and a jazzy alternative shuffle from The Ormidales. Christopher Peifer floors us with his melodic and driving powerpop, Joel David Weir brings his brilliant and tender storytelling folk, and The Casual Sexists change things up with their techno-flavoured dance punk.

Dutch label Tiny Room Records also make a return. They are back with the worldly post-punk revival of Combo Qazam. There is French Britpop revival from chart topper Cimyra Deal, and lo-fi atmospheric indietronica from The MEeck. A Remnant Memory gives us melancholic alternative rock, and Jan Linton returns, with the help of the extraordinary Matthew Seligman, with their progressive electronic rock. There is the experimental prog rock of Jasmeno, and the ambient experimental soundscapes of The Phoenix Cube.

As always, please download, listen loud, dig deeper with your discoveries, and support Aldora Britain Records and independent music.
