Aldora Britain Records alumni Necessary Animals return with a brand new single, 'Multi Storey Car Park'. The track is backed up by a fantastic B-side too, 'Love Not Gold'.
This release from the Necessary Animals highlights a worldly inclination. The tracks sway effortlessly between post-punk urban soundscapes, worldly synthwave rhythms, and a sophisti pop poetic edge. This experimental and genre-bending template sits brilliantly alongside the project's noticeable punk backbone. These are sonic creations for modern times.
Keith Rodway, Necessary Animals: "When I write lyrics, I leave out a lot of information. I give clues as to what I mean and leave the listener to fill in the gaps, so they become active listeners, they create their own meanings."
For fans of Captain Beefheart, Pink Floyd, The Orb, Wire, and David Bowie.

The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points.
This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+... rick-taylor
