To celebrate the 8th birthday of Aldora Britain Records, we have teamed up with California folk rock singer/songwriter Jim Powell. 'Lullaby In G' and 'The Sun's Slipping By' is a digital double A-side single, taken from Jim's new studio album Beneath The Bark.

'Lullaby In G' is a jangling, twanging foray into transatlantic folk rock. The track is sun-soaked and charming, tapping into Californian influences from the 70s and more traditional English outfits such as Fairport Convention. This interplay is testament to the musicianship and artistry at play. 'The Sun's Slipping By' is grittier in its approach, a more haunting feeling comes through, hinting at psychedelia in some of the instrumental passages. Direct and driving, this second offering provides a perfect alter-ego to Jim Powell's songwriting persona.
