about

Songs In A Scottish Accent. Andrew Ferguson As SIASA returns to Aldora Britain Records with a spectacular three-song set entitled Letter To Dead End, Indiana.

SIASA's signature lo-fi noir folk style shines through on each track. There is a deeper poetic aspect to the compositions too, Ferguson's lyrical prowess taking centre stage in amongst the minimalistic arrangements. It is like a meeting between the latter day sensibilities of Johnny Cash, Bruce Springsteen's working man's storytelling, and the strongly accented punch of The Proclaimers. There is an evolution here as well. Ferguson is clearly dedicating time to his craft and growing as an artist as a result. 'Tears Like Crystal', 'Wrong Side Of Town' and 'Interstate' are perfect additions to the SIASA discography.

For fans of Joel David Weir, Johnny Cash, The Proclaimers, Bruce Springsteen, and Carole King.
