about

Independent Music Sampler #135

Aldora Britain Records proudly presents Lamont Blue, an eclectic collection of 25 independent and underground songs from all around the globe. This collection's title is in memory of legendary hitmaker Lamont Dozier. During his stint at Motown, alongside the Holland brothers, he changed the face of popular music forever. Thank you for everything, Lamont.

This week, we welcome back several good friends of ABR. These include Daniel Young with his outlaw troubadour country, Joel David Weir with his lo-fi American folk, and Jambambloo with their swampy, rootsy shuffle. Plasticine return with their worldly funk fusion, Dogzen Zendog bring the experimental sophisti pop, and Free Games For May deliver some noir post-punk revival. There is the lo-fi jangle pop of The Vodka Tourists, the earthy folk blues of Doc Dooley, and traditional indie folk of Paul Martin. Jim deliver some indie folk punk, and Big Stir Records feature by way of Chris Church's atmospheric heavy melody and the jangly garage rock of Richard Ohrn.

Doc Dooley also features a second time with his European alternative rock side-project Herbstzucker. There is an appearance from Dustin Norberg of Manganista as well. Dustin features as part of the Americana-tinged modern rock collective Landis St.

As always, please download, listen loud, dig deeper with your discoveries, and support Aldora Britain Records and independent music.
