Mark Carr, a.k.a. Armchairanarchists, returns to Aldora Britain Records with another boundary-pushing single. 'Kiss Me In My Mind' is backed up by a second track, 'Love Lasts Longer Than Time'.

Mark says: "It is a song about mental ill health, my own to be specific. A bit of a departure in singing style, but I needed to use my childhood voice and not the one I have now. The B-side is a complete contrast. It is a semi-instrumental number with over-laced guitars in a sort of Cocteau Twins style. A musical ode to the everlasting power of love."

'Kiss Me In My Mind' is a departure in style and sound by Armchairanarchists. This approach is brilliantly vulnerable and works fantastically alongside the subject matter. It is honest and direct. 'Love Lasts Longer Than Time' is a loved-up song of adoration. A beautiful and roaming soundscape.

For fans of Joy Division, Cocteau Twins, New Order, The Jesus And Mary Chain, and The Cure.

The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points. This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+... rick-taylor
