Chicago band The Geminis become the latest members of the Aldora Britain Records family with their latest single release, featuring 'Kentucky Gone' and 'Monkey'.

The Geminis delve into a classic American sound, soaring and travelling across large expanses of country landscape. 'Kentucky Gone' is a gloriously laidback slice of roots rock perfection, complete with shimmering and sun-soaked guitar harmonies and a fabulous backing vocal from Olivia Mulchay. 'Monkey' ventures into classic-sounding folk rock balladry with a seamless ease. This is a fantastic debut offering for The Geminis on Aldora Britain Records.

The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points. This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+... rick-taylor
