The Unkool Hillbillies return to Aldora Britain Records with another deep cut from their Corona Sessions. This is 'I'm So Hooked', and it is a rollicking slice of Swedish rockabilly revival.

'I'm So Hooked' is a time capsule. It sounds as if it could be a long lost gem from the days when Sun Records ruled, and the blues were bubbling across the pond to their loyal European audience. After all, there is definitely a strong blues kick here, a wailing mouth organ fantastically underpinning a sinister rhythmic shuffle, and recurring guitar outbursts that have all the fuzz and twang of Link Wray. Another sensational addition to the repertoire of The Unkool Hillbillies.

For fans of Link Wray, John Lee Hooker, Carl Perkins, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, and Jerry Lee Lewis.

I just started listening to all the Pacific Plaza Christmas albums and I am beginning where it all started. I have to say that I really enjoyed this from start to finish.
