Polish noir bluesmen, Blues For Neighbors, become part of the Aldora Britain Records family with their brand new single, 'Falling Trees'. The song is taken from their second studio album, From Roaming About, which will be released in May 2022.
'Falling Trees' is a composition that fuses together the satanic impulses of the blues with the deathly alter-ego of country music. A noir folk tale that twangs and resonates. It is a quintessential example of what this Polish blues duo are all about. Jet-black and gloomy, roaming yet restrained, the modern sound of the blues.
For fans of Buddy Guy, Silas J. Dirge, B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Townes Van Zandt.
Marcin, Blues For Neighbors: “Generally speaking, I don’t think there is good or bad music, it’s just true or untrue, honest or not.”
Recorded at Different Places Studio, January 2022.
Mixed and mastered by Marcin Gałkowski.
Artwork and cover by Kamil "Lupus" Boettcher.
Released by Tom Hilton on Aldora Britain Records (ABR-314).
The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points.
This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+... rick-taylor
