Weekly Independent Music Taster #100

100 weeks later... incredible to think of the independent and underground music that has been showcased on this page in the last 2 years. Long may it continue! Compilation #100 is entitled Echo Chamber, sharing its name with Adam Camm's brand new EP of vintage technicolour psychedelia. We also welcome back Justine Covault of Red On Red Records. This week she showcases her infectious rockabilly revival side project, Justine's Black Threads. John O'Sullivan also returns with a mash-up original tribute to The Beatles. As always, please download, listen loud, dig deeper with your discoveries, and support Aldora Britain Records and independent music.

This week, we open with the contemporary chamber folk of Mackenzie Shivers, closely supported by the arty pop punk of Hemp Fandango and the shuffling alt-country twang of Timbre Ghost. Mountain Grey give us raw tangy blues, Wasted Pido get dirtier with their fuzzy swamp blues and It's Deonta mellows out with lo-fi indie rock. There is celestial cinematic experimentation from Moonchy & Tobias, electronic dance punk from The Casual Sexists and doomsday post-punk from Nomotion.

Suber Oaks deliver direct alternative rock, Sons Of Jaguar have the Aussie-attituded pub rock and Nouveau Bleach revive some rhythmic post-punk. We have classic country swing from Jersey Joe, sinister blues-tinged western from Adamsberg & Coco and rambling indie folk from Jim. There is the bullet-speed post-punk of Wreck Rebirth, the experimental break-beat of Paul Research and the progressive chanson of Skinsitive.

As we begin to wind down, we welcome the noir folk blues of Dark Wooden Cell, the worldly progressive rock of There Is No Time and the ambient electronic soundscapes of Jonathan Michelmann. The final contribution comes in the form of pure experimentation from the fantastic Ruth Goller.
