Davenport is this week's compilation and it is dedicated to our friend Duane Mark. There is a brilliantly eclectic selection of artists and bands on show. Something for everyone. As always, please download, listen loud, dig deeper with your discoveries, and support Aldora Britain Records and independent music.
We welcome back the bluesy rock shuffle of Garrington T. Jones and the hard-hitting Danish psychobilly of Stormtroopers Of Love. Portuguese punks The FAQs also return, as well as Kiwi powerpop from the unstoppable Are You Called Atomic. Scott Newell wows us with his endless ability and flair on the electric guitar too.
The alternative rock of Borrowed Books kicks off this week's collection. Doug Hoekstra and Annie Hendrix follow, bringing us rollicking alt country and avant folk respectively. Lee Gallagher & The Hallelujah deliver cosmic-sounding soul rock, Alan Lee Witherspoon gives us his light rock and Emby Alexander serves up brilliant indie chamber pop.
There is English folk from Pete Dilley, neo-rockabilly from Simon Brothers Club, rootsy singer/songwriter from Steve Ashley and country folk from Rick Szekelyi. We also have Georgia Lee Johnson's jazz-infused folk, Eulalie's traditional musings, Paul Lappin's explosive Britpop revival and Mindstunt's expansive alternative rock. The compilation winds down with Ruckzuck (progressive experimental rock), Vincent Cross (traditional folk), Bridgetown Junction (Americana) and Marina Osk (Icelandic folk).
Thank you for tuning in, play loud! See you next week.
