about

New York experimental pop collective Maestro Collage release an expanded version of their latest album, An Otter In The City, on Aldora Britain Records.

Founded by Owen Taylor in 2019, Maestro Collage have since been carving themselves out an experimental pop niche. Perfectly encapsulated on An Otter In The City, the record swings from fuzz pop, to indie folk, to avant-garde. An eclectic melting pot. The sheer quirkiness of Taylor's creative mind can perhaps be best conveyed via the title track, his otter-centred magnus opus. Or the brilliant indie folk adventure of 'Hair (Saturday Workforce Version)'. Or even the 14-minute experimental DIY progressive folk odyssey 'The Sweetest Phantom Grabbed Me By The Head And Kissed Me On The Cheek'. A melting pot for sure!

For fans of Animal Collective, Brian Wilson and Microphones.
