about

Weekly Independent Music Sampler #118

Aldora Britain Records proudly presents We All Deserve A Chance (To Join In The Dance), an eclectic collection of 26 songs from all around the world. The title this week is a reference to New Mexico ambient rock project Grey Star Ghost. It is a lyric taken from the first song I heard from them, 'Tomorrow'. A more recent composition, 'Highlight of The Day', is featured here.

As well as Grey Star Ghost, we welcome back several other old friends this week. We have the swinging and jiving rockabilly revival of Atomic Papas, and the dreamy and soaring shoegaze of Slow Glows. There is tender and kindhearted indie folk from Richard Lucas, haunting and moving dark country from Luke Hendrickson, and lo-fi ambient alternative pop from The Meeck. Jerry King (Cloud Over Jupiter) returns with his Moon X side project, and Red on Red Records return with the classic garage rock sound of Stupidity featuring Keith Streng. Le Fondeur De Son are our final returning face this week, contributing the bombastic experimental jazz of The Baba Andrew Lamb Trio.

As always, please download, listen loud, dig deeper with your discoveries, and support Aldora Britain Records and independent music.
