about

Weekly Independent Music Taster #82

THIS OLD GHOST TOWN is this week's Aldora Britain Records compilation. 23 songs by 23 artists from all around the globe, a variety of styles and genres. As always, please download, listen loud, dig deeper with your discoveries, and support Aldora Britain Records and independent music.

We welcome a number of familiar faces this week. From Australia, we have the post-punk of Nurseratched and, from Pennsylvania, we have the melodic classic rock of Super Genius. There is also garage punk from Ravenous Hounds and neo-psychedelic folk blues from Phil Matthews A.K.A. The Village.

The remainder of the artists are brand new to Aldora Britain Records. Jack Law makes his first appearance with a collaboration with Duncan Sloan. We will seeing lots more of Jack in the coming weeks. Keep your eyes open for that! Vic Varney makes a double appearance. We have an experimental folk track from his solo outings and a post-punk offering from his work with The Method Actors.

We welcome the jangle pop of Rainsticks, the indie folk of Last Year's Man and the doomsday pop of Lachlan X. Morris. Squirrel Butter give us an old-time infusion and Ears To The Ground Family deliver a rootsy soul kick. There is country noir from Li'l Andy, new jazz from Bancroft & Lynn and a jazz-pop crossover from Kat Reinhert.

Kevyn Smith has some rootsy blues for us, Zituania take a more electronic approach and Kieran Ring has the synthpop covered. There is techno from Martoc, powerpop from Dead Billionaires, alternative instrumental from Sunlit Moth and Madagascan urban from Kristel. Kevin Gerzevitz concludes this week's collection with his 'sparkle pop'.

Special thank you to all the artists involved and the music lovers that keep coming back to AB Records. Enjoy, play loud and see you next week!
