about

Quirky popsters The Barbarian Horde return to Aldora Britain Records with yet another sonic adventure into weird and wonderful realms. This is their Aimless Summer, the quintessential follow-up to the Spring Offensive EP.

Here is what the lads have to say about it...

'Martin Aimless'

Do you have a perfectly serviceable if sometimes underwhelming life that you should be more grateful for than perhaps you are? Has the shiny bauble of youth's promise tarnished with time? Do you like Indian bread products? If so, you, like us, are Martin(a) Aimless. Welcome to our club.

'Banker Holiday'

Bank holidays are punctuation marks in the vertiginous rush of the year, possibly a semi colon, though maybe just a comma. During these briefest of hiatuses (hiati? or is that an island?), one might attempt to reassemble the jigsaw pieces of one's sanity before launching back into the madness all over again, unless the kids have covered aforementioned pieces in jam and hidden them behind the radiator where the spiders live.

For fans of The Divine Comedy, Squeeze, Pulp, Lee Hazlewood, and The Kinks.
