Tennessee Lightnin' Bugs

about

Fresh from their live music showcase in Gloucester, the Scott Gordon Band become the latest members of the Aldora Britain Records family. This is their brand new track, 'Tennessee Lightnin' Bugs', and it's a fine slice of good ol' Ulster Americana.

'Tennessee Lightnin' Bugs' is a glorious snapshot of Scott Gordon's exploration of the realms of Americana. The track has an indisputable folk underpinning, but also features bluesy playing and a country twang. It is a brilliant collision of rootsy music with a dreamlike quality. Gordon's vocal is also a definite highlight, laidback in its essence but full of emotion and soul too. A tune of magic and a tune of wonder.

For fans of Woody Guthrie, Dr. John, Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, and Hank Williams.

Scott Gordon: “The rootsier, the better! I’ve never really been one for saccharine, overproduced pish. I want to hear the human being carving out their craft.”
