about

This is the first remix album from Caretaker Studios' Phil Sorrell. Phil is a visionary record producer and multi-instrumentalist who has been at the core at some of the best independent records coming out of the South of England - Darron J Connett, John Donegan, The Theme.

Tom Hilton, Aldora Britain Records:

'Remixes and electro cuts have always been a speciality of Phil's and this record has been a long time coming. Over lockdown, I noticed that Phil had been posting a number of remixes on social media. I thought it was great that these tracks were finally seeing the light of day. We got talking and decided to try and make it into an 'official' release where people could own these remixes in their own musical collections. A couple of months later and here we are. The tracks and edits within showcase the mastermind of Phil and also demonstrate his creative flair within a modernist pop soundscape. They show the expansive scope of his approach too - everything from modern dance music and electro rock to 80s baggy and Madchester. Flawless, energetic, brilliant. This is a man that normally operates behind the scenes, it is great to see him take centre stage and get his just rewards. The curtain has come down on the Phil Sorrell vault, there is more to come.'

** 'Rome Will Fall (Phil Sorrell Remix)' by Darron J Connett will be used as a radio single for this release. **
