Although I do agree I'd prefer more focus on the IRS era, this is a really solid collection of covers that delivers some unique takes. Totally inspired me to go back and listen to the original albums as well.

The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points. This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+...

I enjoyed this album. It’s almost Christmas 🎅 🎄 the first couple of tracks are my favorite. Props to TVVIN Pine for the I’ll Be Home For Christmas sample, I was just watching that movie yesterday. And しんしんBells is very special for me because it reminds me of a special time in my life when I used to babysit my little nephew and niece and their favorite movie was Polar Express, it brings back those happy memories but also makes me sad because I rarely see them anymore now that they are older.

I just started listening to all the Pacific Plaza Christmas albums and I am beginning where it all started. I have to say that I really enjoyed this from start to finish. I love the classics but it’s a real fresh breath of air to hear something different like this. It’s too hard to pick just one favorite.
