Night Turns To Day

by Marshall Sidbury

Outlaw folk musician Marshall Sidbury returns to Aldora Britain Records for his third single release. 'Night Turns To Day' is also the third offering from his much-anticipated studio album Late Eclipses, following 'Sparrows In The Street' (September 2020) and 'Saturday Inbetween' (October 2020).

'Night Turns To Day' is another excellent example of Sidbury's storytelling prowess and outlaw folk sound. This is mixed with twangy blues guitar and slow-but-steady country rhythm and keys. Almost as if Sidbury's North Carolina home lives through the song, such is the power of his music. There is a melancholic tinge too, perhaps the protagonist of the song is desperately trying to overcome his demons and depression? It is a glorious addition to Sidbury's tremendous and evolving back-catalogue. Late Eclipses, here we come...

For fans of Townes Van Zandt, John Prine, Justin Townes Earle, Willie Nelson and Steve Earle.

The single has been released alongside the two B-sides from his previous releases. These are 'Tallahatchie Rain' (from 'Sparrows In The Street') and 'Hard Way To Go' (from 'Saturday Inbetween').
