Minneapolis rock and Americana enthusiasts The Other Hit are welcomed to the Aldora Britain Records family with a remix of the driving and enigmatic 'I Don't Live In Colorado (Anymore)'.
'I Don't Live In Colorado (Anymore)' taps into the timeless spirit of Americana music. A beautiful and well-crafted collision of rootsy inclination, swampy drive and harmony-driven folk rock, The Other Hit achieve something rather special here. It is one of those tracks that appears brand new, but it feels as if it has been with you forever. A classic before its time. Courtemanche and company definitely have something to be proud of here.
For fans of Bruce Springsteen, Thin Lizzy, Dire Straits, Neil Young, and Tom Petty.
Background about this re-release:
First released on their 2022 album DIEGO, the track has been reworked to include drums by Nashville session drummer Harry Wilkinson and updated contributions by all of the band members. The Other Hit’s Pat Courtemanche deeply admired Harry’s drumming on Michael Murphey’s Blue Sky-Night Thunder album from 1975 (including the smash hit single ‘Wildfire’), and tracked him down to see if he’d consider drumming on a few of the band’s tracks. Harry, who has also worked with Larry Coryell, Terri Gibbs and many other giants, generously agreed. Along with a new bass track by Linda Haus and the percussion of Daryl Boudreaux, the remix blasts forward with the power of a steam engine.

Very special thanks to percussionist extraordinaire Daryl Boudreaux of Minneapolis, MN, for sounds and advice in the making of the album Diego.
The Other Hit is beyond grateful for the one and only Harry Wilkinson of Nashville, TN. Harry graciously agreed to play drums on these remixed tracks. And then he put his deep soul into the project and elevated the songs.

I just started listening to all the Pacific Plaza Christmas albums and I am beginning where it all started. I have to say that I really enjoyed this from start to finish. I love the classics but it’s a real fresh breath of air to hear something different like this. It’s too hard to pick just one favorite. Dionysus Virus

The slashing roots rock on “Out On the Line” always makes its way to the kind of triumphant chorus that quickens the pulse. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 2, 2023
