Hate To See You Go

about

We are thrilled to welcome Arizonian stonerbilly legend, Jim Bachmann, to Aldora Britain Records. 'Hate To See You Go' is the second single from Bachmann's highly-anticipated third studio album and is a duet with solo artist, Kayla Ray. The single also features Nolan McKelvey (The Railbenders and Muskellunge) and Jon Rauhouse (Neko Case).

The track is a tenderly and soulfully crafted piece of outlaw country, an honest and personal account, emotively driven. It is gutsy Americana balladry from a road-weary traveller. 'Hate To See You Go' recalls a lost friend and the mentally gritty struggle that follows their departure. It is a song that shuffles and travels through the barren landscapes of the Sonoran Desert, sung around open-air campfires after dark. Travelling down that road, grieving and remembering. Hate to see you go.

For fans of Blackberry Smoke, Ryan Chrys and The Rough Cuts, and Kris Kristofferson. Kayla Ray's contribution could perhaps be compared to some of June Carter Cash's duet work.
