about

Aldora Britain Records are immensely proud to release the very first EP from Colorado alternative glam rock sensations, The Lost Dolls. Entitled Elegant Epitome, it is the perfect mission statement for these hard rockers and captures the feelings of contemporary America, from both a personal and nation-wide perspective. The EP features one radio-only single, 'Friday The 13th'.

Opening track, 'Reno', informs the listener of the band's alternative rock sound, hinting at further elements of glam rock, hard rock and heavy metal. Despite being a naturally upbeat song, it deals with a darker subject matter. The feelings of regret and 'what if' scenarios, obsession and isolation versus detachment and freedom, a hopeful wish for a happy ending. 'Friday The 13th' follows and is a melodically charged snapshot of modern glam punk. Once again, the subject matter juxtaposes the music elegantly. This song looks at the controversial feeling of being in a state of complete euphoria whilst being undeniably conscious of all the approaching pitfalls of everyday life. 'Friday The 13th' also showcases the natural chemistry of The Lost Dolls, the song moves through different soundscapes yet is pieced together flawlessly. A stripped-back version of 'Where The Leaves Don't Die' concludes the set. This song is fuelled by the idea that political leaders around the world are groomed to serve themselves first, and the dangerous and long-lasting consequences of ill-informed agendas.

This release is a flawlessly brilliant way for the band to announce themselves on the global stage. A musical journey and odyssey into modern rock with a strong nod to the past. Matt, Stew and Blake are back. This is The Lost Dolls. This glam rock and roll.

For fans of Guns N' Roses, The Struts and Manic Street Preachers..
