This week's compilation is entitled Dear Charlie, in memory of the powerhouse drummer behind the greatest rock and roll band of all time. The man we are talking about - of course! - is the legendary Charlie Watts. Charlie was not afraid to play in a variety of different styles, whatever the song needed, and so, this collection is equally eclectic. From jazz, to rock, to punk, to new wave, and everything in between! 25 of the finest underground artists from around the globe. As always, please download, listen loud, dig deeper with your discoveries, and support Aldora Britain Records and independent music.
Zen Baseballbat return with their ska-tinged take on new wave. We also welcome back Aussie dirty blues legend Edwin Garland. This week, he brings us a track from Waxworks, a noir rock project with a gothic edge. Fish Country also give us free-flowing new world jazz. These guys will be bringing us two more contributions from their side projects in the coming weeks.
Ghost Dance Collective open up this week's compilation with their take on romanticised dreamy neo-psychedelia. We then have tenderly crafted folk rock from The Mechanicals Band and bulletproof arty psych pop from Banquet Darling. There is the groove-laden funk rock of Roast John, the catchy laidback indie pop of Hotplug and the alternative post-Britpop of Captain Felix. Dan Klee gives us brass-infused indie pop, Lars Finberg changes gears with pounding fuzz pop and Neat Mentals bring us direct garage punk.
We have anthemic indie punk from Heavy Heart, static-filled beach goth from Phanerons and the atmospheric alternative rock of Junior Choir. There is the Americana indie folk marvel of Dillbilly, the relentless skate punk of Knock It Off and the hard and heavy desert rock of Catapult The Rhino. Louis B Burrows covers off the traditional-flavoured indie folk, Steady Circuits give us the melodic, rhythmic indie pop and Ethan Flynn delivers an epic indie rock story.
To finish, there is the funk-driven alt rock of Max Boost And The Power-Ups, the avant-garde experimentalism of Public Speaking and the continental alternative punk of White Stain. Terrarium close out with their ambient instrumental soundscape. Special thank you to all the artists involved and the music lovers that keep coming back to AB Records each and every week. Have a great weekend and see you soon!

Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021
The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points.
This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+... rick-taylor
