RELEASE DAY: Edinburgh hometown hero Cameron Fraser unveils his debut single as The Reference Shelf.

Fresh from an independent Number 1 single with Borrowed Books, Cameron Fraser unveils his new project, The Reference Shelf. Born out of the pandemic era, this studio-based alter-ego is a direct product of the long and monotonous months of global lockdown.

'Corroder', the debut offering from The Reference Shelf, was performed in its entirety by Fraser with the help of Graeme Young in the production chair. It has a less rock-orientated feel than the Borrowed Books albums and verges more towards an acoustic-led folk rock approach. Perhaps what Neil Young would have sounded like if he was an Edinburgh native and served his musical apprenticeship during a global pandemic.

A brilliant slice of grungy Covid folk rock.

For fans of Neil Young, Fleet Foxes and Iron & Wine.
