about

Tennessean singer/songwriter Ryan Oyer becomes the latest addition to the Aldora Britain Records family. This is 'Choice', a standalone single, which precedes his 'Rise & Shine' LP, releasing May 22nd.

'Choice' is an honest and direct story song. A heart-rending glimpse into the personal experiences and observations of Oyer, the track really demonstrates his songcraft and lyrical ability. The sparse arrangement highlights the sadness and loss perfectly too. A brilliantly skilful and haunting composition with orchestral undercurrents.

"And I thought I was done,
Singing the sad songs,
Honey, you became the saddest one."

Sonically, the song sounds like a long lost 90s Britpop B-side. Think the acoustic warbling of Noel Gallagher, Simon Fowler or Mark Morriss.
