Weekly Independent Music Taster #86

Celebrations & Regrets is this week's independent music taster. 24 underground, undiscovered gems from all around the globe. The title is taken from the Andrew Ferguson As SIASA contribution. Ferguson has kindly donated a brand new, exclusive track in his trademark Scottish southern gothic style. As always, please download, listen loud, dig deeper with your discoveries, and support Aldora Britain Records and independent music.

We welcome back a number of other familiar faces this week too. Australian roots rock queen Dana Gehrman returns, as does Italian synthwave maverick Of Shadows And Lights. Manganista contribute their weird and wonderful mash-up of new wave and ska, Ryan Oyer is back with his folk rock songwriting and Phil Matthews a.k.a. The Village reminds us how great neo-psychedelic folk blues can be. Mr Magpie are the final returning artist and they give us a vintage-sounding slice of jangle pop excellence.

Emily Moment opens up this week's collection with some soulful Americana and Justin Cashion delivers ska-infused southern rock. There is contemporary alternative rock from Them Flying Monkeys, fuzzy folk rock from Downy Woodpecker and traditional-sounding folk from Paul Grady. Jaggy Edges bring us a fantastic post-Covid anthem, Hotel California give us brilliantly written indie folk and Modus Opera And Eye show us something completely unique with their agnostic gospel.

There is the folk blues of Ralph Beeby & The Elephant Collective, the Anglicana of Mark Charlesworth and the retro-tinted folk rock of Samuel Glenn. Olson Van Cleef Williams get experimental with some rural psychedelia, John O'Sullivan delivers the indie folk rock and Montgomerie have the dreamy folk pop covered. Commiserate get loud with some grunge-infused alt rock, Modern Day Heroes have some classic garage rock and Bunny Cult play us out with noir cold wave.

Special thank you to all the artists involved and the music lovers that keep coming back to AB Records. Enjoy, play loud and see you next week!
