Being Broken

by Duane Mark

Being Broken 03:25
Legend Oaks 03:27

Aldora Britain Records are extremely proud to present the brand new single from the face of modern outlaw country. This is 'Being Broken', the second single to be taken from the 'A Letter To My Enemies' record. Duane has very kindly allowed us to use his previous single, 'Legend Oaks', as the B-side for this release.

This is a magnificent return from outlaw, Duane Mark. The Texan still has points to prove and statements to make, and this couplet testifies to that. Both 'Being Broken' and 'Legend Oaks' are delivered in Duane's trademark earthy signature, a vocal that emotively touches the listener as Duane explores his memories and travels for all to hear. There is a mystique and intrigue too in his deep-set vocal lines. These are beautifully crafted songs with an undeniably traditional country approach, with noteworthy fiddle work and shuffling rhythm. This isn't the bastardised version of country on contemporary radio, but this is a return to the vast landscapes and campfires that songs were sung around. This is outlaw country.

For fans of Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson and Townes Van Zandt.
